Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential. In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men. In such a world , no woman lives in fear of violence.

Club member Julie , was available at our recent fundraiser to explain what projects we have been involved in and where funds have been directed. With 100% volunteer members at the local and district levels, the funds go directly to individuals and established organizations.
The Stratford Club has hosted the International Women’s Day Breakfasts over the past ten years. Speakers have spoken passionately about topics from missing and murdered indigenous women, to succeeding in business. The Club has awarded approximately $20,000 in bursaries and scholarships to deserving high school graduates in Huron Perth Counties. The Club has funded a self esteem program for gr 7-8 girls since 2012. It has co hosted women’s candidates meetings for the provincial and municipal elections. The Club’s second 2nd annual Lunafest fundraiser showcased screenings of short documentaries , bringing forth messages of female relationships, challenges, and accomplishments.

by Zonta International for projects benefiting women in 35 countries. ZI has provided training, education, health, sanitation, agriculture, and micro-credit assistance to women primarily via projects implemented by the United Nations. .

November 8, 1919 marks Zonta’s 100th Anniversary. On that day a small group of pioneering women came together in Buffalo NY to help women realize greater equality.
